A tense confrontation on The Young and the Restless has left Phyllis Summers shaken after Cane Ashby made it painfully clear that their alliance is over for good.

In a brutal exchange, Cane revealed that some bridges in Genoa City are burned beyond repair — and he has absolutely no intention of fixing them.
Phyllis Grows Increasingly Paranoid
The confrontation began when Phyllis tried to push Cane for answers about his next move.
Earlier, she asked who he planned to target with his revenge scheme. But Cane barely acknowledged her question because his attention was fixed on something else entirely.
Across the room stood Lily Winters, deep in conversation with Malcolm Winters, whose recent return to Genoa City has already brought major secrets with it.
Cane couldn’t take his eyes off Lily.
Phyllis noticed immediately.
She repeated her question, hoping to pull Cane back into their conversation, but he clearly wanted to be left alone.
Sensing the tension, Phyllis shifted her tone and offered to keep whatever secret he was hiding.

Cane Refuses to Play Along
The conversation quickly took a darker turn.
Phyllis began talking about herself — insisting that people around Genoa City are jealous because she’s finally back on top. She also complained that no one ever tries to understand her motives.
But Cane wasn’t interested.
When he attempted to leave, Phyllis stopped him again after noticing he was still watching Lily.
That’s when she directly asked the question on her mind: was Lily the target of his latest revenge plan?
Cane snapped back, demanding that Phyllis stop pushing him.
“The Damage Is Already Done”
Finally, Cane made his position crystal clear.
He told Phyllis he doesn’t want anything from her anymore — not help, not loyalty, not partnership.
According to Cane, the damage between them has already been done, and there is no way to undo it.
To him, any connection with Phyllis now feels like a trap.
He bluntly accused her of caring only about manipulation and control.
Phyllis, clearly rattled, asked what more she could possibly do for him that she hadn’t already done.
Cane’s response was devastating.
He reminded her that she already got everything she wanted from their partnership — and whatever he might have built for her in the future is officially off the table.
Cane Walks Away for Good
With that, Cane stood up to leave.
Phyllis sat frozen, suddenly realizing she might have become Enemy Number One in his eyes.
Before exiting, Cane delivered one final warning.
In the past, he often solved problems by buying his way out of trouble. But that era is over.
His respect and cooperation, he said, are no longer for sale.
Then he walked out without looking back.

Cane’s Heart Still Points to Lily
Despite his harsh words for Phyllis, it’s clear where Cane’s attention truly lies.
His eyes — and perhaps his heart — remain fixed on Lily.
The problem is that Lily currently wants nothing to do with him.
That emotional tension could become the driving force behind Cane’s next move in Genoa City.
And if revenge really is part of his plan, Phyllis may have just realized she’s standing directly in the line of fire.
